Blue Carbon Project & Kaipatiki Project

Our Charity Partners

Waterbourne Charitable Trust has partnered with the Kaipatiki Project and Blue Carbon Project to ensure our coastlines are kept clean.

Kaipātiki Project

The Kaipātiki Project is based in Auckland’s North and is a not-for-profit, environmental organisation that inspires people to share in nature’s revival and live lightly on this planet.

Kaipatiki Project facilitates forest, stream, and estuary regeneration days, promote zero waste and run a teaching garden to encourage local food initiatives.

Kaipatiki Project has over 800 volunteers annually, who help them to run a thriving native plant nursery where they grow more than 40,000 native trees every year and plant them back in the local reserves.

Waterbourne is working with Kaipatiki Project, with $5 from every entry for the Fun Run and Walk going toward planting trees in our local wetlands.

Blue Carbon Project

Blue Carbon Project aims to use outdoor pursuits as a platform to communicate and encourage climate positivity in order to minimise our impact on the environment. Blue Carbon Project works with various water sporting events and is now working with Waterbourne to promote climate positivity.

Blue Carbon Project will be working closely with Waterbourne for the Oceanbridge Beach Clean Ups around Auckland a well as paddleboarding out to an island and planting trees to help us become a climate positive event.
